David Halabu
Managing Partner
Started his career as a trader at Broadway Trading in NYC. In 2001, he moved to Miami to head the trading desk for Assent LLC (division of Sungard Data Systems) in South Florida. He left the trading industry in 2013 to focus strictly on alternative investments.

He co-founded Group 10 in 2013 to invest in non performing real estate debt., Group 10 has since evolved into having separate divisions for real estate, medical investments, lending, and non-correlated alternatives.

Samuel Soriero
Managing Partner
Samuel Soriero directs the firm’s origination, acquisition and underwriting activities for various loan and real estate opportunities. Prior to founding Group 10, Mr. Soriero served in several fixed income capacities at Goldman Sachs in New York City including time spent on the senior bank debt, conduit, and whole loan trading desks. Mr. Soriero was also previously with Ashley Capital, one of the largest privately held real estate investment groups in the United States. While at Ashley Capital, Mr. Soriero performed the financial analysis required for the acquisition of under-performing real estate assets through traditional purchases and securitized debt acquisitions. During the economic downturn, Mr. Soriero acted as lead analyst in securing workout arrangements for over $200M in distressed loans which encumbered the firm’s portfolio.

Mr. Soriero participates in a variety of community and charitable organizations throughout South Florida. He also holds an active Florida Real Estate License and is a member of the National Association of Realtors and is a licensed lender in the state of Florida.
Shakib Halabu, DDS
Principal
Graduate University of Michigan Dental Program. Began Practicing dentistry in 1976. Shakib has bought and sold over 35 Dental practices in SE Michigan region as a principal. In the late 1990’s he sold a group of dental offices to what eventually has become Great Expressions. In 2014, along with his partner, he again sold a majority share of their 12 office Dental Service Organization to North America Dental Group, a Private Equity backed DSO. Since then, Dr. Halabu has led and performed operational diligence all Group 10 medical investments. He currently splits his time between Miami Beach, where his 3 children and 6 grand-children reside and the metro Detroit area, where he is very active in the local community.
